Amy earned a Bachelor degree in Music Education from Florida State University and also minored in Spanish. She taught elementary music for 11.5 years in the Orange County Public School system. In addition to teaching music, she worked on several elementary music curriculum writing teams, earned National Board Certification and designed and delivered professional development training to other teachers in Orange County.
After ten years of teaching, she chose to diversify her educational experience and earned a Masters degree in Educational Technology from the University of Central Florida. Her online learning experience at UCF and summer internship at Course Development and Web Services sparked her interest in the field of instructional design. She joined the Instructional Design team at Course Development and Web Services in the summer of 2008.
