Lindsay is a junior at UCF majoring in Early Childhood Education. She works for Course Development & Web Services (CDWS) as an Assistant Instructional Designer as well as an Student Instructor (SI) Leader for Geology.

A wonderful professor and coworker of Lindsay’s informed her about the position at CDWS. She wants to thank this person for allowing her to explore her interest in looking for new ways to integrate technology into her life and the lives of the many children in her future classroom. She looks forward to the many other avenues that her AID job will open up for her.

Also, her job with the Student Academic Resource Center as an SI Leader has let her explore different teaching practices and learn different skills that will help her out later.  It has also allowed her to shine as a leader in the UCF community.  UCF has helped her fulfill her dreams through her classes and jobs.  Lindsay looks forward to the many other avenues that she will get to explore during her time at UCF.

Lindsay is also an active member of Kappa Delta Pi, an Honor Society for Education. She wants to be a teacher that will inspire more people to grow a love for learning through technology. She grew a love for wanting to become a teacher at a very young age, as she has always loved helping others.  She feels that through teaching young children, she can help them at a very important time in their lives when learning is crucial.  She has always been very enthusiastic about school, even at a young age. Lindsay believes that learning should be challenging, but also enjoyable at the same time. It was the amazing teachers that Lindsay had throughout her career that helped her have the attitude that she does about education.

Lindsay is a very caring, honest, and thoughtful person and feels that these qualities fit very well for a person in the field of education. You have to work hard for what you want, and through each new experience you should look for something good you learned from it and carry the experience with you along your pathway.  Lindsay feels that UCF has been a great place for her to get the education she needs to be the best possible teacher she can be.
