Bill acquired his Masters in Education from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 1999 with a major in Instructional Systems. His master's degree led him into the field of instructional design and his current position at UCF. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Curriculum and Instruction. His research interests include online copyright and fair use, instructional best practices and emerging technologies.

Bill earned a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the University of South Florida (USF) and spent almost 26 years working in the field of Journalism. He was a reporter, editor, photographer and ultimately Director of Photography. For 15 years, Bill led a creative staff of photographers, editors and technicians to develop and deliver the newspaper's daily photographic report. He also had the opportunity to cover a variety of exciting projects, sports, celebrities, dignitaries and two summer Olympics.

As an instructional designer in Course Development and Web Services (CDWS), Bill facilitates UCF faculty as they transition into online teaching and learning. He enjoys research and learning of new techniques and instructional strategies. As a member of the Instructional Design Team, Bill spends much of his time developing and delivering IDL6543, UCF"s award-winning faculty development course.
